ABOUT
As Australia’s leading Horizontal Directional Drilling specialist, we have successfully completed more than 750 pipeline and cable installations for providers of essential services, connecting communities with new and improved services.
Since 2000, Pipeline Drillers has been delivering low impact, economic, safe and sustainable trenchless installations of HDPE and steel pipe throughout metropolitan and regional Australia.
Horizontal Directional Drilling is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipes, conduits and cables in a shallow arc along a prescribed path by using a surface launched drilling rig, with limited impact on the surrounding area.
Our team of trenchless specialists work in partnership with our clients to engineer, design and construct tailored solutions incorporating the latest cutting-edge technology and expertise in Horizontal Directional Drilling, Pipe Ramming and Fusion Welding.
WHAT WE DO
Directional Drilling With Maxi Rig
These giants of the directional drilling industry pull steel and HDPE product pipe of up to 1600mm. In favourable drilling conditions, depths of cover anywhere between 5 and 105 meters can be achieved.

Directional Drilling with Midi Rig
Product pipe installations under existing services, roadways and urban centres. If you are looking for an installation method that is both lower impact and efficient, Midi Rigs with their small footprint and compact support equipment offer the ideal solution.
Pipe Ramming with pneumatics
Grundoram Goliath Pneumatic Ramming Tool is capable of installing steel product pipes in extremely challenging ground conditions without the significant disturbance of trenching. With many alternative uses including casing and supporting structure installation.
HDPE fusion welding
Qualified and experienced staff, utilising well maintained reliable equipment, ensures Pipeline Drillers are able to provide welding services across Australia. When planning your directional drilling project, consider fusion welding as an additional service.

WESTERN RISING MAIN HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING
Pipeline Drillers Group is thrilled to announce the completion of the Western Rising Main Horizontal Directional Drilling project. This major achievement includes the installation of 651m and 1095m of 900mm HDPE under the Tamar River, Tasmania, marking the end of a complex and challenging operation.

The completion of this project is a testament to Pipeline Drillers Group’s commitment to excellence and innovation in infrastructure development. We are proud of our team’s dedication and the successful delivery of this critical project.
AURA AND HARMONY WATER TRUNK INFRASTRUCTURE
Pipeline Drillers Group is currently undertaking the Aura and Harmony Water Trunk Infrastructure Project on the Sunshine Coast. This significant project involves seven Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) bores, each contributing to the development of the water infrastructure in the region.
The project scope includes the following HDD bores:

HDD01 - Pierce Ave: 819m of 710mm HDPE
HDD02 - Meridan Way: 965m of 900mm HDPE
HDD03 - Kawana Bushland: 1449m of 900mm HDPE
HDD04 - Ewen Maddock: 506m of 800mm HDPE
HDD05 - Old Caloundra Rd: 542m of 800mm HDPE
HDD06 - Bellflower Rd: 262m of 560mm HDPE
HDD07 - Caloundra Rd: 646m of 710mm HDPE

Similar to our previous achievement constructing sewerage mains within the same region, this project demands strategic navigation of unexpected ground conditions. Notably, our expertise has allowed us to address these challenges efficiently. Additionally, we are adept at managing the project's specific geographical constraints, responding promptly to stakeholder needs, and minimizing community impacts.

Pipeline Drillers Group remains committed to delivering infrastructure solutions that meet the highest standards.
