Delivery Model
Pipeline Drillers Group delivers HDD projects through experienced site leadership supported by established operational systems and organisational support. Each project is structured around a dedicated site crew led by an experienced Superintendent responsible for day-to-day supervision of drilling operations, coordination of site activities and management of subcontractors working within the HDD scope.
Typical drilling crews consist of a Superintendent, Driller, Mud Technician and Rig Hands, with crew size adjusted to suit the scale and technical requirements of the crossing. The Superintendent maintains primary responsibility for on-site decision making and operational control, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project methodology, safety requirements and programme objectives. Site leadership is supported by the company’s project management and safety teams who provide oversight, planning support and coordination with clients, authorities and project stakeholders.

Pipeline Drillers Group maintains long-standing working relationships with a network of specialist subcontractors and suppliers who support HDD delivery activities such as pipe welding, lifting operations, bore steering and site logistics.
Subcontractors are selected based on proven capability, safety performance and alignment with Pipeline Drillers Group’s operational standards. Their performance is monitored throughout the project to ensure consistency with the company’s expectations for safety, quality and professionalism.
Operational delivery is further supported by Pipeline Drillers Group’s yard-based operations and maintenance teams. These teams provide ongoing equipment maintenance, logistics coordination and technical support to site crews, ensuring drilling equipment and support systems remain fully operational throughout the project. Maintenance and support resources are available seven days per week when required, allowing equipment issues to be addressed quickly and minimising disruption to drilling operations.
This integrated delivery model ensures HDD works are supported by experienced personnel, clear site leadership and responsive operational support, enabling projects to be executed in a controlled and coordinated manner.
