Pipeline Drillers Group maintains an established fleet of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) rigs and supporting equipment, enabling the delivery of trenchless pipeline installations across a range of ground conditions and project environments. Maintaining in-house plant capacity allows projects to be appropriately resourced from mobilisation and supports continuity of drilling operations throughout delivery.

Our fleet provides capability across a range of bore sizes and lengths, supporting installation of steel and HDPE pipelines in conditions including clay, sand, shale and rock.
Drilling operations are supported by mud management and drilling fluid systems, including pumps ranging from 150 gpm to 800 gpm and cleaning systems capable of processing between 200 gpm and 1000 gpm. These systems support control of drilling parameters and fluid returns during drilling and reaming operations.
Maintenance of plant and equipment is undertaken through a combination of in-house servicing and engagement with original equipment manufacturers and specialist providers. Yard-based operations and maintenance personnel provide ongoing support to active projects, including equipment preparation, servicing and repair.
The available plant and support equipment allow Pipeline Drillers Group to operate multiple drilling spreads concurrently, with capacity to deliver three to four HDD projects at any one time.

Pipe Ramming
with Pneumatics
Pipeline Drillers has industry leading capacity and capability in Pipe Ramming. Possessing both a Grundoram Goliath and Taurus Pipe Ramming tool, we are uniquely positioned to combine our extensive Drill Rig and support equipment fleet with the Pipe Ramming services.
Such capability allows Pipeline Drillers to deliver where others can’t. This is evidenced through our extensive history of installing long distance bores in unconventional geology, through the installation of pipe casing, using the Grundoram tools. Pipeline Drillers have successfully hammered casings varying in widths from 610mm all the way through to 1,800mm.
