Scope

Installation of sewer rising mains beneath the
Tamar River using HDD, including two major
crossings of 660m and 1,100m.

 

Challenges

​

Challenging ground conditions includingboulders, unstable soils and cobbles requireddeep bore alignment, casing installation andnon-standard entry and exit angles.

 

Outcome

​

Pipelines successfully installed with minimal disruption to the surrounding environment, existing infrastructure and pre-existing systems, with no safety incidents reported during delivery.
